Environmental impacts caused by fireworks that harms soil: Fireworks consist of a variety of different chemicals used to create the range of bright colourful display of burning chemicals. These chemicals fired into the air, the chemical used to fire is black powder also known as gun powder. In the chemicals used are metallic substances but also carcinogenic or hormone-disrupting substances that are not only toxic to humans but plants and soil, these chemicals can cause long lasting affect on crops that could result in years of crops being unable to grow from soil pollution. Environmental impacts caused by fireworks that affects water: Once a firework has been fired and the chemicals are released, once the chemicals descend into the water there can be short and long term affects on not only the plants and animals in the water but the plants and animals around to water to. The toxins that fall in the water affects the fish swimming in water, the metallic substances inhaled by the fish maybe cause fish to die in a short period of time or fight sickness for a long period of time. Animals seeking fish as a form of food could also be affects as they also eat the toxins inside the fish. Substances that are in the water can harm soil in the water for a short period of time that can kill weed and other plant species. Environmental dangers caused by fireworks that affects the air: When fireworks are released it creates a toxic smoke that can cause harm to animals and Humans as well, the toxic substances are mostly metals, when inhaled it can cause serious health risks, some dangers of this haze of toxic metal that it isn't blatantly obvious where the toxic smoke is because fireworks are set off at night and poor vision makes it difficult to see what you are breathing. Although the toxic smoke it quite harmful to people to rarely affects air population for long periods of time but can cause acid rain which can cause environmental affects to plants animals and humans. |
